About Liat Shomrat, Senior Product Designer
As a Senior Product Designer, my career began where fine art, art history, technical systems, and visual design meet. With a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art and Art History alongside formal webmaster and web design certifications earned during the era of hand-coded websites, I built a foundation that blends classical visual composition with a clear understanding of how code shapes interaction. That combination still guides how I work today. I approach digital products through structure, behavior, and real implementation, rather than surface visuals alone.
Early in my career, I worked as a web designer at a high-volume national digital services organization delivering and maintaining production websites at large scale. Working in a fast-paced environment taught me how to design for a diverse client base while collaborating closely with developers and fellow designers. It required speed, consistency, and a practical approach to standardized design systems that kept usability front and center.
I later joined a SaaS hospitality technology company as a Branding and Design Specialist. In that role, I created and implemented custom client branding across live web products and email platforms, designed UI assets and layout systems, and maintained production HTML and CSS. Working within structured product workflows, I supported real operational environments while ensuring reliable cross-browser and email client compatibility.
After earning the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, I expanded my focus into end-to-end product and system architecture. Today, I design complex transactional experiences in the fintech sector, including payer journeys, merchant platforms, and administrative dashboards. I build these systems from the ground up so that dense operational workflows feel intuitive and dependable for everyday users.
More recently, I have been integrating AI directly into my work. Whether using artificial intelligence to sharpen research and design workflows or shaping how AI features appear inside modern products, I apply the same structured thinking. My goal is to translate complex logic into calm, clear, and helpful human interfaces.
Across every project, one principle stays the same: the user comes first. Whether I am designing high-volume web platforms, multi-tenant SaaS products, fintech payment flows, or AI-assisted tools, I focus on removing friction so people can move through complex tasks with confidence.
